Will Wynn - Mayor: Austin, Texas
Will Wynn was elected Austin’s 50th Mayor in 2003 and re-elected in 2006 with over 78% of the vote. Wynn’s dedication to improving the environment and calling attention to global climate change has meant that his impact extends far beyond Austin’s city limits.

Chapter Eight
- Due to expectations back in the early 80's we have built a conservation power plant by conserving energy rather than building new generation.
- We will never build a coal fired power plant.

- We have far and away the best energy conservation programs in the country called "Green Choice".
- We deliver mostly west Texas Wind energy to our green customers. We have won the national award five years in a row and we will always win it so they are retiring the trophy.
- We are growing a very sound economy here in a very responsible environmentally friendly way.
