Dr. George Lucier -Associate Director of the National Toxicology Program
Dr. George Lucier is a former Associate Director of the Environmental Toxicology Program with the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, the National Institutes of Health, and the National Toxicology Program. Currently, Dr. Lucier is currently Chair of the Chatham County Board of Commissioners in North Carolina.

- When Mercury is emitted from a coal fired power plant it is released in its elemental form. It will then fall to earth in a different form, methyl mercury.
- It accumulates in the earth and in water then fish eat other fish until there is up to 1 million times what we humans should eat.
